Day 1Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

Be ready for an early morning pick up from your hotel or riad to go to Ouarzazate, the entrance to the Sahara. But first we must travel through Tizi-N-Tichka, a section of the high Atlas Mountains and also considered the highest pass. We will stop at the famed Ksar or Kasbah of “Ait Ben Haddou,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, scenes from movies like “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Jesus of Nazareth” were filmed. Your tour guide will take you to the highest hill in the Kasbah and around the dry river for a breathtaking panorama that will leave you speechless in awe. After that, we will drive straight to Ouarzazate, passing via the Skoura palm grove and the Valley of Roses, to end in the Dades Gorges where we will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2 Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)

The second day of our 4-day Marrakech to Fez desert tour will begin with a traditional Moroccan breakfast. We will then leave the hotel at 8:00 am and travel along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs, passing by some vibrant Berber villages and stopping in Tinghir to see its lovely palm grove before continuing on to Todra Gorges where you will take a walk in this deep gorge relax and have lunch. Our next stop and the final one will be a panoramic view of the golden sand dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. From there you will spend two hours in the sand riding camels, see a stunning sunset, and spend the night in a camp in the Merzouga Desert.

Day 3Erg Chebbi – Nomad Family – Fossil Site – Tour Of The Dunes

You will awaken early to enjoy the desert sunrise, which will encourage and inspire you. You will then eat breakfast at the camp or until you arrive at the hotel. You will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can shower, then go on a 4×4 tour of the dunes to see the black volcanic rocks full of fossils, meet one of the nomad families to interact with them and learn about their way of life. You will visit the khamlia village to listen to their spiritual Gnawa music, and see the pink flamingo-filled lake Dayte Sarji (if you visit the desert in the spring season). After lunch (berber pizza) have a little stroll in the oasis at the base of the sand dunes, and then return to your accommodation to take a shower. Dinner and overnight will be in the hotel.

Day 4Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

After breakfast on the fourth day,we will continue on our journey to the imperial capital of Fes. We will stop first at Ziz Valley to take in its magnificent fields and panoramic views. Then we will have a break for lunch at Midelt, the capital of apples. After relaxing, be ready to meet the barbary apes in the cedar forests of Azrou, you can feed and play with them if you like, they are very friendly. Before arriving in Fes,our final stop will be in Ifrane. You will enjoy the cool air and clea city because as Moroccans call it ” the Switzerland of Morocco). Finally pass by Imouzer to get to Fez where our driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
