Day 1Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Zagora Dunes
Our experienced driver will pick you up from your lodging at 7:00 AM in an air-conditioned vehicle or minibus. To get to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where many well-known Hollywood films were filmed. But first we must cross the high Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, which offers views of the lush mountain foothills. Those who appreciate the beauty of nature will enjoy the breathtaking view from the tallest point of the mountains. Following that, we’ll make a pit stop in Ouarzazate, dubbed “Africa’s Hollywood,” to check out Kasbah Taourirt and eat lunch there, also we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. After that, we’ll go through the 180 km of Draa Valley oasis. Finally, in the late afternoon, we will arrive in Zagora, from where we will ride camels to our desert camp. We’ll have a delicious dinner and some local music playing by the nomads before getting into our tents for the night.
Day 2Zagora Dunes – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
On the second day of your 2-day Zagora desert tour, you’ll be awakened before sunrise so you can take in the first mesmerizing glimmers of a brand-new day and a brand-new adventure. We will begin the day with a typical Berber breakfast in one of Zagora’s bivouacs, ride camels to our vehicles, travel to Ouarzazate for lunch, and then cross the High Atlas Mountains to finish the two-day Marrakech to Zagora desert tour in Marrakech in the afternoon when our driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
